“Go out in the world and fuck it up beautifully.” – John Waters, Make Trouble.
Through collaborative work, these two artists explore the humour and contradictions of trash glam
aesthetics. How can found objects, broken works, and other forms of discarded symbolism find their
way into emotive assemblages that oscillate between beauty and grunge? In this exhibition, these
two artists engage in visual conversations, exchanging works that have not yet been finished, com-
bining them in a kind of exquisite corpse process. Using disjointed parts to make a whole. What they
have in common is a symbolic use of objects and weird long titles. In order to get a grip on their work,
thinking has to be degraded in favour of rough and tumble approaches and female intuition.
